This site will walk you through the basics for building a circuit. How will you document what you've learned? The Brain Eater is a super villain that gets in your brain and distracts you by making you think about something that is not what you are supposed to think about! For example, this foul octopus may invade your brain and make you think about video games, tv shows, movies, sports, or recess activities when you really should be focusing on your learning! Trinkets and toys are also fuel for the Brain Eater! When he sees these things, he subtly encourages you to grab them and play with them... The problem is, that when he is in your brain, he distracts from your learning, and he even makes you a less effective group partner. Below is a quick description of the Brain Eater. Spend some time reviewing this (and remembering our activities) so that you can create a visual journal reflection for when the Brain Eater might have gotten in your head.

Our plan is to complete our cross-platform App Smash!
At this point, we have created the structures for our futuristic dwellings (below). We then traced them using SMART Boards. With the outline, we are going to upload them into Notability on an iPad. When there, we're going to use styluses to add additional details! Are they within a dome? Are there trees coming off of the roof for a green space? How are we surviving extreme conditions on another planet or in our own? How is our dwelling sustainable? After this step, we will be moving on to part 3 of our App Smash when we use Enlight to add filters and mood to our drawings. Finally, we'll use Doink Green Screen to put ourselves inside our structures. For today's task, you will need your outline images: Practice here! We've created a number of games that taught you the names of the provinces, territories, and capital cities. It was tricky work, but you've done well! Before you do the arcade today, you're expected to try the notebook file below. When you have put your files in the right place (and checked your answers against the map in your "Code Our Country" workbook), feel free to game away. At the end of the lesson you'll have a quiz. So use the games to study!
As we design futuristic living quarters, we've got to really consider functionality. What are some design implications? What must our dwellings protect us from? What geometry will benefit our structures? Look at the pictures below, see if you can get some ideas...
As we learn about our Canadian history and identity, we will also be studying what it means to write persuasively. To begin, we should look at some of our coins and discuss their significance. We will build criteria: What is required to make an effective coin?
